Hello, my name is Emily McRady and I’m starting this account for the money to go directly to Trevor Blaylock’s medical journey and his beautiful family Deb, Emil and Henry.❤️

I’m going to repeat what their friend Andrea M. said it best: “My heart has been heavy and it’s hard to find the words. Our very dear friends-our family-have been dealt a devastating blow. We hold onto Hope and know there is power in prayer. If you have been fortunate enough to know the Blaylocks, you know they are true salt of the earth people. Trevor is truly one of a kind. He has such a servant’s heart, doing so much for others. Now, more than ever, he and his family need lifting up. They need your prayers and support. We love them so much and pray for God’s healing power”. Thank you, Andrea-said it more beautifully than I could….and so many others…. Let’s bless the Blaylock family! ❤️

I will repeat what Deb said last night on an update on Trevor:

Wow, you people are beyond incredible! We have been inundated with so much love, we can’t even keep up, but know this is what is holding us together. ❤️

I’m going to give an update and it’s not the news we were hoping but we continue to have HOPE and stay positive! Trev was diagnosed with lung cancer stage 4. While we developed the best plan possible including getting into KU, we also reached out to MD Anderson in Houston and University of Colorado which specializes in lung cancer research. We are waiting to hear back to see if they will accept him and use all our resources to find him the best care possible.

Today we were thrown a curve ball. It has metastasized to other parts of his body so we will start radiation hopefully tomorrow for 10 days and can’t even treat the lung portion until this is over. So here we go to battle! F@ck cancer and trust me it’s been a roller coaster of emotions.

People keep asking how they can help? My friends have set up a meal train and/gift cards page to help while we navigate all of this. That is the easiest since we don’t even know what we don’t know and will need as time goes on.

I’m not planning to use this platform for updates but will set up something so I can keep those who want to stay updated. I can’t say enough to our friends who have brought us food to the hospital, set up housecleaning, food train, helped pull strings to get us in faster, checked in on us, pushed me to stay positive, encouraged me, and so many things and to my sister who came to hospital to calm me.
