Its Time-Lets Bless Laverne!

Hello and welcome to Mom's page.

We are Stephanie, Christine, David and Shelly, Levi and Kelly.
We are some of the lucky kids of an incredible lady named Laverne Dulay.
We've seen others create pages like this and haven't had a clue how to start one, but here it goes!

We want to make an opportunity to raise funds for our mom because it's essential for us to take that extra care for her now, when she's cared for so many during her lifetime, including us.
It makes us feel like this is something we can be a part of, and do, that will make a difference.

We've also had many friends call and ask us how they could bless or be a blessing to mom, so we wanted to make that available to them.

Most of mom's close friends and family have learned about her declining health after a severe staph infection brought her to the hospital several weeks ago.

She's currently in a skilled nursing facility, finishing her six-week recovery regiment directed by her doctor.

She is also dealing with type-2 diabetes and has been battling her decreased kidney function for the past several years.

Currently, gout is building up in her feet and legs, compounded with age and the effects of arthritis; these are taking a terrible and painful toll on her today.
We just learned from her care center that she also tested positive for COVID-19 and won't be able to see her kidney doctor until a later date now.

She's unable to generate any income now, and in our lifetime, we've seen her spend valuable and countless years helping thousands of others, most of the time by her own volition.

For the past 40 years, she has volunteered consecutively at the Vallejo Rescue Mission, the San Francisco Rescue Mission, and The Richmond Rescue Mission (Now the Bay Area Mission).

She's been involved with multiple churches and Christian organizations spanning the entire state of California, including, but not limited to, the Assemblies of God, Church of God in Christ, Calvary Community, Y.W.A.M. (Youth With a Mission), and has worked on the Mercy Ships as well.
She has been the primary food coordinator for hundreds of conferences, banquets, weddings, funerals, birthdays, and reunions.

We think it's time people who have been touched by her life get another opportunity to show her some love in yet another creative way...just like Mom would do!

Please consider being part of her help!

With the funds generated, we will apply 100% of them toward her current medical needs and expenses that Medicare or Medical will not cover.
(For example, Medicare does not provide coverage for a paid individual to act as a care partner if you do home dialysis, payment for a person to help during training for home dialysis, or transportation to and from the dialysis center. Medicare also doesn’t cover a place to stay during treatment if you live far from a dialysis center and does not cover blood or packed red blood cells for home hemodialysis (unless advised differently by your doctor or it’s needed to prime the dialysis machine).

Thank you, and bless you for your time and potential participation!
