Let's Bless Albert & Peggy

Hi, my name is Rick Greene, and we're raising funds for our friends Albert and Peggy Avila while he slowly recovers from severe Covid-19 to help them out financially and show them that we love them.

In early December, Albert was rushed to the hospital after fainting because of lack of oxygen from being sick with covid pneumonia. Before we knew it, the medical team and Albert decided that his best chance to survive was to go on a ventilator, which he was on until a couple of weeks ago. Then, they put in a tracheotomy to take him off the ventilator. Albert is now in an acute rehab facility, still in the ICU, and it has been a very prolonged process. He has been battling fevers, infections, blood pressure issues, and agitation at times, and it has been a slow journey of ups and downs. It seems to be two steps forward and one step back, which we expect in these things, but it has not been easy, especially for Peggy. Albert is slowly making progress, but we ask that you continue to pray for him, and for Peggy, too, as she patiently waits for her Albert to come home!

The difficulty in a situation like this is that we don't always know how to help. Some of us thought that one way we can help Albert and Peggy, in a practical way, is to bless them financially and help them out. It's a practical way of outwardly showing our love and support. Albert has not been able to go to work, so this is at least something we can do to love them! Anything helps, even if it's small. I'm sure even a little gas money for Peggy to drive down and see him would be a huge blessing to her, and no doubt, there are other expenses they may have too that we don't know about (i.e., medical bills, copays, etc.). I'm sure they will appreciate it so much!
