Our beloved friends, Our Tribe, are one of the BEST families on this earth. They are the first ones to offer a helping hand and be there for you no matter how big or small the need is. So many people have reached out and have come together to offer help for our best friends. Our #1 request is to ask you to continue to keep the tribe in your prayers.
7 weeks ago, Nicole was going in for a routine cyst removal surgery and partial hysterectomy and they got the devastating news nobody ever wants to hear. Nicole was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and their world was turned upside down. Nicole is the most loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, teacher and best friend anybody could ever ask for. Nicole (35 yrs. old) and her loving husband Kris are celebrating their 9th wedding anniversary this year. She is the mother of 3 amazing children Kristopher (7) and twin girls Julianna & Natalia (5). Nicole is a 1st grade teacher in Nutley, her hometown and the place that we all call home. She has given so much to our community through her service and dedication. Kris is a law enforcement officer, he protects and serves our community as well. They are the perfect example of true honor and service to both their family and community. Nicole’s smile is infectious and her heart is pure gold. I am honored to call this family our BEST FRIENDS and beyond blessed to have them in our family’s life.
Once they got this news, processed it, got 2 opinions, and weighed out the treatment plan options, they chose the doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC because there was a level of comfort there that gave us all hope on Nicole’s diagnosis. With that decision comes the hard part of sacrifices and hardships that I am hopeful we can all help take the burden off Nicole, Kris and their families shoulders.
Nicole started chemotherapy immediately following surgery and will need months of chemo. The hardships of the long term extensive medical treatment can truly take its toll on any family going through this fight. The costs of medical care, chemo, additional medications, holistic therapy, specialists, specialty care, employment reduction (both Nicole and Kris), and transportation to and from the city are just to name of few that they will all have to endure.
This GoFundMe for Tribe Schrodi, will help raise funds to offset all the medical costs and help give this amazing family one less stress to worry about. We all worry about finances but right now if we can take that out of the equation for them, they can focus on what is important, the fight as NICOLE KICKS CANCERS BUTT.

We (Travis and Diana Gonick) have set up this GoFundMe on behalf of the Schrodi Family and the money will be directly deposited into their bank account and used as needed throughout this process.
