Let's All Rally For Patrick & Chrissy's Fight Against Cancer

UPDATE: After completing chemotherapy in January of this year and being cancer-free, Patrick's cancer has returned, is Stage 4, and incurable. He has resumed chemotherapy and is currently out of work again at this time. Many unexpected expenses continue to arise as Patrick has recently been in and out of the hospital while determining the next plan of action, and is unable to work. Any and all help is appreciated while Patrick and his wife, Chrissy, navigate this journey together.

In May of this year our dear friend, Patrick Griffin, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Esophageal cancer. Patrick is currently not working and is undergoing chemotherapy at this time with surgery planned for the near future. Patrick and his wife, Chrissy, were recently married in October of last year. When I think of Patrick, one of the first things that I think of is his willingness to help others and show up for his friends. Patrick is loved by so many which is a reflection of the type of friend and person that he is. I can't even begin to think of all the people that he has helped through his career and have helped sleep better, and feel better in the process. Patrick also does his own "Change Jar Challenge" where whoever guesses the closest to the amount in the jar gets $20 and Patrick then donates the full amount of the jar to a charitable cause or person in need. Patrick is the true definition of selflessness. We don't know how long this journey will be, but any additional financial help to Patrick and his wife would be extremely helpful and appreciated during this time of unexpected medical expenses. Additionally, a Benefit fundraiser will be held for Patrick on Sunday, October 13th, from 12pm-6pm at the Chesterton American Legion. More details on the Benefit to follow.
