He will have to have dialysis 3days a week for the next 12 months while he waits for a transplant

our fundraiser night was a huge success and all monies raised is going directly to Michael and his family. We as a whole couldn’t be more prouder of all the support we have been given from each and very single person.

I just want to say a couple of words to everyone that has help me through this journey and still continuing

It’s an extremely hard time for me and my family and words can’t explain how incredible everyone has been and I can’t thank everyone enough for your generosity.

The money is just a bonus & is one less worry,

the fun raiser night has shown me that you can talk to just about anyone in our community and people do care no matter who you are.

To everyone who has contributed to helping me in whatever way wether it was a dollar, present, a message or to having me on your IG story. I’m so grateful and forever thankful you’ve made a difference to my life. For that I am truly blessed, I couldn’t of asked for more.

There were nights I would sit up crying and thinking of how extremely greatful I am and how I feel so blessed to know a bunch of legends ✊

I truly believe we have a lot of genuine people in this community.

For me what mattered the most was everyone coming together and faces I have never even seen to now faces I will never forget, people I have never bonded with and friends I haven’t seen in a long time. It felt good and thats a moment I will forever cherish.

Hi my name is Erin, I’m wanting to raise as much funds as I can for my brother and your friend Michael Hampton, Mike was airlifted to Sydney’s St.George Hospital on Friday April 14th, at this stage the family was unsure of what was going to happen next, it was a touch and go basis the unknown, and being in intensive care unit made it hard for his family to visit. A few days past and still not many answers.

Michael up until now was typical young 27yr old fit and healthy young man, his a father of two young boys Koda 2yrs and Keoni 5months, mike was and is’ the sole income earner and provider for his young family. They have recently just purchased there first home together, While his Partner Kimberly stayed at home to take care of there children.

Mike is well known in the community for all his sporting commitments Touch football over the years but his passion was playing soccer (football) for his local club. And most of all his work ethic. Many people have either crossed paths or had a friendly relationship with him.

Michael was recently moved back to Wollongong hospital on Thursday 20th April where he still is today, it makes the travel for our family a lot easier being on the south coast, two weeks have past us all by and we’ve recently found out that unfortunately Mike has 2% of kidney function which means his now dealing with kidney failure. Mike will have to wait 12months for a kidney transplant while we find a Donor. The waiting game to see if the on going medications are working. How ever with this comes 3 days of Dialysis a week leaving two day of the working week to recover. So unfortunately with Kim being the sole career now for there family and taking care of Mike they will be both out of a job for over a year until we know more. This is what we’ve have been informed by his specialist’s. With many medications and the cost of living where asking from the our hearts to help our family and our brother at this sad time. It’s the unknown of how long this process will work and if it will work. Every day is a battle for him and I want to make the stress of this easier for him. All money raised will go directly to Michael and Kim. I’m just helping support my family by doing this to take the stress and worry away from them so once Mike is home he can concentrate on getting better and spending time with his babies.
