Hi! this page is set up to help the Leto High School competitive cheer team go to their national competition!

For the first time in school HISTORY the competitive cheer team has received a bid to the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National Competition that takes place over 5 days in Orlando, Florida in February, 2023.

This is a massive accomplishment for this team and these girls. To qualify, you have to have 75% of your team attend a UCA summer camp. Next, you have to have your team compete at UCA Regionals. That happened on December 3, and this team got 4th place and an invitation to perform at Nationals. Attendance and performance are expensive, so we need your help.

We have 22 people on our squad. That is 19 athletes and 3 coaches. Each person costs $492 -- that includes entry into the contest, 5 days of entry into the competition and a 2 day ticket to the Disney parks. There is an additional $55 cost for each girl to attend the celebration party. Then we have the cost of lodging, food and transportation. We estimate our cost to be roughly $960 per athlete on the conservative side.

PRICE BREAKDOWN

$492 - entry into competition, 5 day pass to watch the competition and 2 day Disney ticket (This fee is set by the UCA competition and can't be altered)

$55 ticket to the Champions Party at a Disney Park. The park is closed, and only girls competing ticket are allowed in. They have select rides open, a DJ and food/drink. This is to celebrate all their hard work.

$3,500 - Lodging for 4 nights

$2,200 - rental of 3 mini vans to transport athletes and gas

$2,000 - meals for 22 for 4 days

$1400 - apparel for competition

Leto High School is a public high school located in Tampa, Florida. 89% of our students are on free/reduced lunch (which reflects the socio-economic status of our families.) Our population is mainly Hispanic, and our team reflects our vibrant community.

With that being said, our girls work incredibly hard but do not have the funds to send themselves to this competition. We believe in them and their work ethic so much that we want to do as much as possible to get them to this once-in-a-lifetime event. They made it because of their dedication to their sport, and we want to help them see that dream of competing at this national level through.
