When An Intern Comes Out a Survivor: WE MUST STOP LETITIA JAMES!

In 2014, Angel S. DuBose served as an intern in the Office of the NYC Public Advocate, Hon. Letitia James, within the Constituent Services Department. At the very first Annual Holiday Party that December, Angel DuBose was left abandoned in the rain after being kidnapped and assaulted by James and several members of her staff.

You didn’t know about this story? That’s exactly how Letitia James wanted it to be—hidden, erased, and forgotten. She suppressed DuBose’s testimony by calling her a “liar” which led to the New York Post publishing libelous content about DuBose. For 10½ years, Angel DuBose has been fighting for everyone to hear the truth.

What happened to Angel DuBose is a direct reflection of a broken justice system and the crooked politicians who gain power by appearing relatable. But there is nothing relatable about Letitia James—because there is nothing relatable about a female politician using her authority to dismantle the life of another Black woman.

As Angel continues to fight for justice and protection for herself and her children, we are asking for $400,000 to fund Angel's Justice & Documentary Campaign Budget.

Since, we are fighting a corrupt system—Letitia James having influence over many mainstream news outlets—we need resources, protection, and access to independent platforms, as well as strategic media support that can help us reach a broader audience with the truth she’s tried to suppress.
