Leticia Jimenez medical and travel

Hello, my name is Miri and I am the daughter of Leticia Jimenez and I am raising monetary gifts to help with travel expenses and medical expenses for my mother's treatments.

Recently, my dear mother fell ill which required an ER visit in her hometown Del Rio. Due to the severity, she was transferred to a hospital in San Antonio where she stayed for several days in order for doctors and specialists to run a number of tests on her. These included blood transfusions, EGD (a scope to view the esophagus and stomach), CT scans, IV fluids, medications and IV nutrition all in search of what was causing her severe pain and internal bleeding. After visits with gastroenterologists, surgeons and oncologists, it was revealed that she has a very large ulcer with cancer. This cancer is not very large but in a difficult area which requires an extensive surgery. She will require chemotherapy in hopes to shrink the tumor.

We are currently working on getting her started on chemotherapy as soon as possible, and are hopeful that it will be successful in combating this cancer.

With all this being said, I'm reaching out to all my friends and family and anyone who would be willing to help us during this time. The costs of chemotherapy alone are a huge feat, and that doesn't include the costs of hospital stays, medication, travel, etc. So, I've started this GoFundMe in hopes that it may help with at least some of the many costs we have to look forward to in order to get my mom healthy again.
