Just as covid-19 hit in March of 2020, I started feeling pains in my stomach. This escalated until multiple trips to the hospital including multiple surgeries came out with a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer on September 2, 2020. Between hospital bills, medications not covered through her insurance, Lyft rides, car maintenance expenses, not being able to work for 6 months, not enough money for groceries/rent, and not receiving child support since January 2020 for Jayzen, it's been difficult. Jayzen turns 18 years old next month. This will disqualify him as my dependent for many of the benefits and groups that we are using and involved with. As he's been my caregiver, he hasn't been able to get a job, live a normal 17 year old life to prepare him for adult life. The funds raised will be used to keep us together, as I go through this process of hospice care. To help pay for any Memorial expenses necessary, but mostly hopefully we will raise enough to set JayZen up for a successful beginning to what will be his future and new beginning.
