Dear Friends and Family,
I recently received the wonderful news that I have been accepted into Washington National Opera’s (WNO) three-week summer program at American University in DC! This program has the power to reshape my entire career trajectory and it’s an incredible honor to receive this recognition.
This is an intensive, pre-professional program where I will be trained by some of the most renowned opera professionals working today. Over the three weeks, students take academic courses, participate in workshops, write research papers, take voice lessons, receive daily coaching, learn and rehearse new pieces to a high level, and perform in both a recital of Italian art songs and a recital of opera scenes. Students will also have the opportunity to perform in an opera chorus scene on the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage.
In addition to the WNO Institute this summer, I will also soon be traveling to Jacksonville, FL. for the National Federation of Music Clubs Competition and Carnegie Hall in New York, where I will sing with my New World School of the Arts colleagues.
I would appreciate your support to raise funds to cover my travel, tuition and housing expenses for these incredible opportunities. My goal is to raise $5,000, and every little bit helps!
Thanks so much for your generosity and support.
