My name is Jamie Roberts, I am the founder of streaming radio station RealRock The Train.
For over 3 decades I depended on radio as a source of income. But, in the mid 90's Congress passed the Telcom Act of 96' allowing the big radio corporations to buy up more than their fair share of radio stations across America. And over time (and with technology they exploited) it caused the elimination of many radio jobs.
Now, technology is working in the little guys favor. Hence, streaming radio. And now RealRock The Train, Where Classic Rock Lives.
Since coming online in 2017 we have continuously received great reviews, continue to receive more Likes on social media, and feel that our product is a good one. Just not enough people know about us yet. We desperately need to spread the word, but we simply do not have the funds to market ourselves the way the big guys do.
This is where your help comes into play.
We feel if we can increase our exposure (with a little financial assistance from our listeners), we can let more rock radio listeners know we exist (and eventually become self supportive).
Billboards, TV, print, and an increased presence on social media will certainly take Train "Passengers" (listeners) on a journey away from typical corporate owned radio (which most small businesses can't even afford to advertise on).
Helping us build our audience through increased marketing, will eventually help our small business help other small businesses market themselves at an affordable rate. And more importantly, our increased listenership will help us give on-air exposure to the many non-profit organizations out there that could use a free helping hand with their events.
So, If you've made it this far in our bio, thank you.
And if you are considering helping is forward out efforts with a donation to help us with operational and marketing costs, an even bigger THANK YOU!
Keep on rockin'!
