FIRE!!!! Family Lost Everything!
June 17th was supposed to be a happy day for one of my students Cairo who attends PS 297 in Bed/Sty Brooklyn, it was his 6th birthday. He has an incredible and loving family, they had a cake and dad just arrived with the pizza. The fun was supposed to begin...However, while the family was just beginning to celebrate they smelled smoke coming out the back room. Unfortunately, the fire was large and a lot of damage occurred. Luckily, all 4 children and parents made it out. However, at this time the family is displaced from their home and they are waiting on temporary housing. When they eventually return they need to replace all furniture, clothing, household items, etc.
Please help this amazing family. The father is the president of the PTA this is the family that always helps others. Now it's our turn to help them.
