The world lost a wonderful man to this awful virus we are all battling in some way - Co-vid 19, is a virus that none of us expected to hit us as a country, yet alone to any of us personally. 

Ponch Ruiz was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and coach that succumbed to this horrible virus and left his family unexpectedly.  Ponch was the patriarch of his family and took care of them financially, emotionally, and spiritually.  Coach Ponch was a wonderful influence on so many baseball players through his coaching teams at the Toms River little league, South Toms River Little league, as well as the Stallions baseball organization.  Not only was Coach Ponch a role model on the field for the kids but also off the field as a mentor, father figure and friend.  Anyone that played for Ponch or knew him, knew his love of baseball, and of course the kids and his family.  

As expected, this is an extremely difficult time for the Ruiz family .  Ponch left behind his loving wife Joyce, his children, Jassady, Andrew, Nikki,  Brandon  and Eli , and his grandchildren, Letty, JayMarlee, Damian, Maddox and Savannah.
