Hello Sandi's Dear Family and Friends,
We've been so touched by the emails/calls coming in about Sandi's recent fall and thought this would be a good way to not only update you, but also to ask for your help.
As you may know, Sandi fell and severely broke her right leg/knee on August 7th. Since then there have been numerous tests and doctors' appointments to determine the best course of treatment.
As it stands now, Sandi will be facing surgery next week, followed by extensive in-home physical/occupational therapy. Her goal is to be back to a regular pace in about 4-5 months.
Understandably, this has been really tough for Sandi. Anyone working independently in a service-related field understands that the ability to generate income is based on one being able to get out and help clients. For Sandi, the support she offers, whether to pet parents or those in the veterinary/animal care professions, is not only a business venture, but also a total labor of love. I know many of you who have met Sandi through the support she offers can testify to that.
Now, though, she's facing increased expenses with less of an opportunity to work and meet those expenses. That is why I'm reaching out on her behalf. My goal is to raise enough money as soon as possible to help her support herself over these next few months and to pay for rehabilitation expenses.
I'd love for us to take some of the burden of this accident off her shoulders and show her how much she has come to mean to us all.
Anything you can do would mean so much to Sandi.
