Let's Help Miss Rosie
Donation protected
Hi My name is Miss Rosie. I was born in the Caribbean and came to the United States many years ago. I am a former educator with Orange County Public Schools, supervisor with the YMCA after school program, and supervisor at Universal Studios/City Walk. All 3 jobs at once!
During this time, I fought a different form of cancer with chemo and radiation. I beat it! I am a survivor.
But in the last few years, I became very ill and had to stop working. I spent a great deal of time on getting myself better, but in March 2020, I was dealt a bomb!
I was diagnosed with "triple negative breast cancer in the left breast." This is a very large and aggressive type of cancer that does not respond to usual treatments. Because of this, the oncologist and the surgeon have decided I need to first go with chemo, then have surgery, and then go back to chemo and radiology. I am preparing for the long and arduous road I have ahead of me. But now, I have been hit by another huge problem.
My co-pay for chemo every two weeks Is estimated at:
$2,500 for the first twelve week round and $3,000 every week for the second (eight week) round. (I have been told that I need a sub-insurance in addition to Medicare but when I tried to obtain it, I was told I will have to wait until September for enrollment). I simply don't have the time to wait because in just 2 weeks, when I went to see my surgeon, she found the tumor had increased in size. She could not believe that I had not started the chemo yet because of the insurance issue.
I have never looked for a handout in my whole life. But today, I need to ask for help from anyone who reads my page. Please, please, please make a donation and allow me to start my treatment. I will forever be in your debt.
All help will be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Miss Rosie Neblett Arthur
