Waiting on a Kidney Transplant
We are reaching out to you on behalf of our dear friend Lynette Schultz. Lynette is a very kind and gentle person who has been on a kidney transplant waitlist for the past three years. Family and friends have seen Lynette’s world grow increasingly narrow because she must spend a good part of each day on dialysis. Our dear partner/sister/friend who was once so active in a demanding job as a Respiratory Therapist for medically fragile people, now leads a very restricted life. The kidney disease has taken a toll and Lynette suffers greatly from fatigue and a loss of independence.
For most people, this would be demoralizing but the amazing thing is through these incredibly difficult challenges, Lynette continues to maintain a positive attitude and is always thinking of others. She is truly an inspiration to all of us who are honored to know her.
Needs Extensive Dental Work
Recently, it came to our attention that on top of her debilitating health challenges, Lynette is in daily pain due to serious dental needs and does not have access to proper care. Lynette needs a root canal requiring bone grafting and a new crown to clear up an infection.
Due to kidney disease and severe arthritis, Lynette is on SSI/disability. She has MediCal/DentiCal but it does not begin to adequately cover the cost of her extensive dental care needs. Lynette was given an estimate of $5000 by a reputable/trustworthy dentist here in Sacramento.
