Help Retired Deputy Lester Moore

Retired Deputy Lester Moore, has recently been hospitalized after trying to fight a cold for at least 3 weeks. He thought he was getting over the cold but was feeling weak to the point he was looking really pale. The family called 911 and he was brought to the hospital on July 5, 2019.  He was immediately admitted into the hospital and put into ICU. They started him on intravenous antibiotics and they said he had an viral infection throughout his body.  Les was retaining lots of fluids in his body, and the fluid around his heart was of concern, they did not want it to turn into pneumonia. Also Les was having difficulty breathing so he had to be incubated. He was heavily sedated for over a week while incubated. Finally, the tube was removed on July 17, 2019. The doctor then said he had a fungal infection in his blood, so he was given another type of antibiotics. He is doing better now but still very weak and Les must be on a liquid diet until he can be reintroduced to solid food again. They are starting physical therapy so that he can regain his strength again and be able to walk out of the hospital. Les has been confined in the bed for 2 weeks now, on July 19th the physical therapist was able to get him to sit up and stand for at least 20 seconds. He is recovering but still has a slight fever and needs to regain his strength before he can move out of ICU into a regular room. In the meantime, stress is not helping him at all. I am asking his family in blue to help out in anyway they can so that we can help them out with the costly medical bills that they will be facing. Les will have a share of the cost and he is already worried that this is going to wipe him out financially. We told him to just focus on getting better and not to worry about anything right now.
