Forrest Pettengill wears many hats: musician, producer, colleague, friend, and a knit hat in the wintertime (typically). He's one of the hardest working folks in town. Forrest shares the stage and studio with many local musicians and has been crucial in bringing many a show and album to life.
Forrest has an upright bass that he manages to make sound great. But let's be real: the instrument itself is a student model that has been well used. He deserves an instrument that matches his level of expertise and will help preserve his health (Carpal tunnel, anyone?)
Forrest has plans to purchase a bass from the Upton Bass String Instrument Company in Mystic, CT. These things ain't cheap. He's put a down payment on the instrument but there's about 5k more to go...
Forrest doesn't know about this fundraiser. Well, maybe he does now that's it's been shared with the public. But anyone who knows this dude knows that he would never ask for a dime.
Perhaps you, like me, often perform alongside Forrest and benefit from his wonderful bass playing. Perchance you've seen him around Aeronaut sharing the latest brew. Maybe you've sat in the studio with him as he produces an amazing new track. Quite possibly, you've spotted him at a show around town supporting one of many talented local artists.
Well, now it's our turn to help support Forrest! Every little bit helps!
