Let's Help Dave Get Walking Again

Hi Everyone.  I am reaching out for help on behalf of one of my longest and dearest childhood friend Dave.  Dave and his family are in need of your help during this Holiday season.  Dave’s troubles started a few years ago when he got injured at work.  He injured his right foot and has had several surgeries since to repair it.  The surgeries have been unsuccessful and have led him to this point.  It was later determined that he has a condition called Charcot foot which is a condition causing weakness of the bones in the foot.  The bones are weakened enough to fracture and with continued walking the foot eventually changes shape.

This Tuesday December 4th, Dave is having his right foot amputated up to the knee!  He is going to be out of work for several months and will not be able to provide for his wife (Noonya) and his young son Andy.  His insurance claim for short-term disability has been denied because of a pre-existing condition clause.  Some of his injuries are a result of his life long battle with diabetes.  Since he won’t have any income coming in for several months he wont be able to provide for his family, and make it a Merry Christmas.  He won't even be able to afford the special prosthetic leg that is being made for him.

Dave is a very proud person and won’t ask for the help himself, so I am reaching out on his and his family’s behalf and asking for you help.  Anything you can donate will help.  Please help my friend in his time of need.  He needs your help in a big way and he needs your help now.  The money will help them with their bills until Dave can go back to work and it will help him afford the prosthetic he needs to walk again.
