Cheryl Armstrong has been work for Long Island Jewish Medical Center for more than 21 years in the Operating Room as a surgical technologist. She is the sole bread winner of her family and a mother of 3 daughters. Cheryl has been battling Osteogenesis Imperfecta, brittle bone disease, a vitamin D disorder and also degenerative hip osteoarthritis. She constantly endured excruciating pain in her left hip which has lead to her instead gait yet she still managed to go to work everyday. Approximately three weeks ago Cheryl got up for work as she normally does and had to face her worse fear.... she realized that she could no longer walk. Cheryl had an emergency total hip replacement which was not planned and totally not budgeted for. Friends at work tried to raise fund to help with Cheryl's daily expenses however the amount needed was far more than they expected. Please assist with any amount you can! Cheryl is a selfless woman who neglected her own help to assist her family and even routinely flew out of state to be with her mother through her cancer treatments.
