My very dear friend Carol is 42 years old and was diagnosed with breast cancer this past July. For those of you who know her, you know that she is an extraordinary human being. She is cheerful, loving, unbelievably strong and always puts her friends and family before herself.
She underwent surgery on August 14, 2020 to remove the cancer, which was successful. But, she is still awaiting for further testing to determine if she will have to undergo with chemotherapy, aside from radiation and possible double Mastectomy with reconstruction.
Because of this, she has been unable to work and will likely not be able to return until further notice. Short term disability unfortunately does not provide full pay and FMLA was denied. Some of her medical expenses are not covered and with the everyday necessities of life, money is getting tighter and tighter.
Carol is one of the strongest, most selfless people I have ever known and is always there to give her love and support to anyone in need.
Now, it's time that we send back some of that love and support to Carol. Anything you can donate will be truly appreciated. Everything we can do to help and surround her with love is what is most important so she can focus on beating this thing. Please spread the word and help create conscience of this silent monster that is Cancer. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
