The mission has changed, but the love is the same. It is with a heavy heart that we bring you the news of Amy's passing on August 28, 2024. In true Amy form, she was an overachiever to the end, outliving the doctors' estimates and staying with us as long as she could. She fought so hard it was difficult to accept sometimes that cancer would ultimately win, and she kept looking forward, never back; staying engaged, and staying productive until her final days. In the end, she passed peacefully in her sleep, with John at her side. After the journey she had been given, she deserved at least that gentle passage.
The fund now shifts to helping John pay for Amy's final expenses. We pray that through our contributions, he is able to feel the love and support we have for him. Amy touched so many lives, and left an impact on everyone who had the good fortune to know her. Even if you're unable to contribute now, or if you've contributed before and are just checking back, please leave John a note and let him know what Amy meant to you.
There's no easy way to say goodbye, so instead I'll hope that we shall meet again. Thank you all so much for all you've done in support of Amy and John.
