Let's get Mel to the Olympics!

Donation protected

Mel is trying to make it to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo!

Meet 5-time Canadian National Boxing Champion Melinda Watpool.

Melinda is boxing her way to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo and, with your help,  she is going to get there.

The Road to Victory

In order to make it all the way to Tokyo, and to represent Canada,  Mel will have to do a bit of travelling and a bit of fighting! Your support will go a long way - anything helps!

Mel's Road to Victory includes two key events in order to get to Tokyo and they have to be entirely self funded.

The journey of a competitive athlete is not an easy one.

Aside from the time and dedication it takes to continue to train in the sport, there is the money it takes to be able to
answer the bell for each competition, each training camp, all the things that make us better athletes but drain finances faster than an athlete is able to earn.

The money we are raising for Mel will go directly to the expenses she will incur for this journey.

Mel's work

Mel works supporting others to develop their best selves and gives back to her community in so many ways.
Mel is Head Coach at the Shape Your Life Program in Toronto, a program for women survivors of violence that uses boxing as way to heal the devastation the violence has caused. Mel is also a coach, mentor and role model through her coaching of young women at the Shape Your Life-Toronto District School Board and her youth coaching at Dewith's Boxing Studio in Mississauga.

Mel has become a leader in the boxing community, a role model. mentor, and all-round amazing and supportive coach.

Now it's Mel's turn to let us help support her in her journey to Tokyo.
