Let's Get Mark Back On His "Feet"
Donation protected

On July 12, 2018, Muharem Vuqiterna aka Mark was about to begin his day off by playing some tennis. When he went to the trunk of his car to grab his tennis racket an irresponsible driver reared into his car causing him to nearly lose his leg. Mark was rushed to Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx where doctors spent countless hours trying to reconstruct his leg. The first surgery was unsuccessful as no blood was flowing through his veins. The doctors then decided they would try another surgery and if that was unsuccessful, Mark’s leg would have to be amputated. Another surgery was performed and there seems to be blood flow at this time. It is unknown how he will respond to his reconstructed leg as Mark has been in an induced coma since the heart wrenching incident.
We are trying to raise $30,000, for Mark’s medical expenses and rehabilitation. Mark turned 27 years young on the date of the surgery. He is a vibrant barber who makes people feel good on a daily basis and we hope to show him just how much he makes a difference to us all. He is alone in the U.S. with his whole family residing in Albania. This whole time his family has been unable to fly to NY as there are strict Visa requirements for the great distance to be traveled.
Mark is lucky to be alive, however his road to recovery is long and remains uncertain. We are not sure when he will be released to rejoin his family and/or what his rehabilitation journey looks like. With each passing day we don’t now what his future holds or if he will be able to return to his normal healthy and active life, which surely won’t be in the near future. His family and friends are desperate for prayers and need help for paying for his medical expenses and rehabilitation. Mark will also be out of work for a while and we hope to gain enough to help him get through this without having to stress over financial burdens as well. Any donation, prayer or message is greatly appreciated. Please help us get Mark back on his “feet”.
Thank you.
