Those of you that know us as a family, most definitely know my brother, Patraic. He's the taller, louder, fun(nier) one.
If you know Patraic you definitely know his partner in adventure, Chloe.
Patraic and Chloe have spent the last year living and loving around Asia and Australia; whilst there they discovered they were expecting a baby, a new member to their crazy clan.
They quickly decided that they would come home for their next chapter.
On their way home, whilst in Singapore, Chloe has been diagnosed with an infection.
It's not uncommon during pregnancy, but has meant that she has gone into early labour, running a greater risk of miscarriage, currently at 25 weeks, or premature birth, both risks to both her and Baby.

We want to get Chloe home as quickly as possible giving her and her family as great a chance as possible.

Currently Chloe is in a hospital in Singapore with my brother by her side.

Flying commercially has been deemed too dangerous and we've been advised that a medical flight is the way to get both home before labour develops any further.

Ideally we want to raise the funds for a medical flight back to the UK, but anything raised can be used to support Chloe and their baby's medical care.

Love, always.

Hello everyone!

We would like to start by saying THANKYOU, THANKYOU, THANKYOU to each & every person for their support over the past 3 months & also take this opportunity to share the most wonderful news that Lorcan, after a 46 day stay in NICU followed by a further 44 day stay in HDU, was discharged from hospital on 27.05.2019 weighing a whopping 2.7kg (5lbs9oz).
He is now aged 3 1/2 months old and is a bright, bubbly, beautiful baby boy who has defied all the odds and left hospital with no major medical issues thanks to the unbelaivable medical team at SGH and all of your support. He has settled in to his new environment outside of the hospital with the two of us perfectly and we couldn't be happier as a trio. He has a couple more procedural appointments to attend in Singapore before flying back home to meet his family and friends but he is most definitely out of the woods and on the home straight! :D We look forward to everyone meeting him in the coming weeks.

**WITH THE SUPPORT FROM EVERYONE ON VARIOUS FUNDRAISING PLATFORMS AND CHARITY EVENTS WE HAVE MANAGED TO COVER LORCAN'S MEDICAL BILLS SO NO FURTHER DONATIONS ARE REQUIRED**

We have copied all of the messages we have received over the past 3 months and will be making a memory book to show Lorcan, when he grows up, all the love and support shown to him and us in our time of need.

THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN. IT WILL BE SOMETHING WE WILL NEVER FORGET NOR WILL WE LET LORCAN FORGET IT!

MUCH LOVE
PATRAIC, CHLOE & LORCAN. XXX

Hello everyone we have an update on Lorcan's progress,
On the 13th April at 46 days old (32 weeks gestation) Drs decided Lorcan no longer required NICU care and he was subsequently moved into a high dependency ward, still in his incubator, on minimal breathing support and still being tube fed. 4 days later on the 17th April @ 50 days old Lorcan's breathing support was removed and to date he has managed to maintain and control his own breathing. He is still being tube fed but as his breathing continues to get stronger breast and bottle feeds will be introduced slowly. He is still in his incubator but if he can maintain his body weight above 1.5kg he will be moved into an open cot. Today he is 53 days old (33 weeks gestation) weighing 1.515kg (3.3 lb).

Myself and Chloe are beside ourselves, bursting with pride and love at Lorcan's progress and the resilience he has shown in his first few weeks. We again want to thank every single person that has taken time to donate, share, message, call and pray for us all these past few weeks. The support has helped us beyond words and we are so grateful for each and every offering. Please continue to keep Lorcan in your thoughts and prayers as he continues his journey. X

Hi everyone,

We just want to give you all an update on Lorcan and thank-you all for your continued support. Lorcan is 1 month old today (29 weeks Gestational) and is doing very well. His breathing is getting better each week and the Drs are slowly reducing the amount of support he needs, his feeds have increased also and he has gained 90g since birth so he now weighs 960g (2lb1oz). All medical tests, scans and X-rays on his vital organs have come back clear of any bleeding or complications at this stage. We have recently started Kangaroo care which helps Lorcan with his breathing, heart rate, temperature stabilization and weight gain among other things. We have also taken great comfort in this as we have finally started bonding. The last month has been a rollercoaster of emotions for us but Lorcan has done and continues to do so well against all the odds and we are both bursting with pride and love for our little man. The support from everyone around the world has been phenomenal and has really helped us through the long days and nights. The donations and reading all the heartwarming messages from people has made us feel as though we are not going through this alone. Please keep Lorcan in your prayers over the next couple of months as he continues his journey in NICU.

Patraic, Chloe & Lorcan.
