This is an initiative that we had as customers and owners of small businesses that are currently still blessed to be surviving despite the Covid19 pandemic. The past year hasn't been an easy one for small business owners and it is our goal to provide funds to share with the owners of those businesses that are making an effort in helping and feeding the community that is struggling to survive.
Ideally, it would be nice to collect the funds by the end of the year to close 2020 on a positive note. The goal is to interview a subset of family owned restaurants or delis in the SD area that do not have the capability to meet Covid19 requirements because of lack of outdoors space, and establish which ones will be able to use their kitchens to make meals for families that are hurting and suffering in this pandemic. We will be happy to share the details of how each dollar was used and who the beneficiaries were with the donors.
This support means a lot to us in a moment of general distress and division in a population that would have all advantages in getting along and helping each other, and we would be immensely grateful to any participant. Let's make the holidays a little better for some families.
