Let us witness a miracle on my dad's life

Dear friends,

It is heartbreaking to sit here and write about this terrible moment in our lives. My name is Dina Diaz, firstborn of my mother, of blessed memory, Maria C. Sanchez, and my father Pedro Sanchez; I’m the first of six children. My dad has been hospitalized for a couple of weeks now. Ever since my dad was admitted to a hospital in Monterrey, which was one of the worse hospitals in Monterrey, us-his children, have been hanging on by a thread. My dad was admitted to this hospital on January 11, 2022, and on January 15, 2022 he asked my sister Joque Njogu to take him out of that hospital because they wanted to intubate him, and he was refusing. My sister Joque took that request to heart, it was her mission to rescue my dad from this awful hospital in Monterrey. My sister along with her husband and three little ones, and my husband went on this mission, they drove to Monterrey and about 24 hours later they were able to pay an ambulance to transport my dad from Monterrey all the way back to Laredo, Tx. Thanks to God sending two giving and loving individuals, Myriam Duarte, my aunt-my mom’s sister, and Sabina Garza, a long-time friend of my aunt, they handed the huge amount of cash that the ambulance required. I will forever be indebted to them both for being the hands that we needed at the precise time that we needed the help. Once the Mexican ambulance got to Laredo, Tx my dad was then transported to a Texan ambulance and then was taken to a hospital in Laredo, Tx, where my dad currently is. When my dad got to the hospital in Laredo, Tx he seemed to show some improvement. Then things took a turn for the worse, my dad’s health started to spiral down. Now my dad is at 100% ventilator and only oxygenating 80%, the doctor said we should all go see him, my dad was probably not going to make it another night. It is difficult to write about this, especially because we are currently in the middle of the storm. Yesterday, January 26, 2022 the doctor told my sister to consider comfort care because to him it looked like my dad was not going to make it. Today, January 27, 2022 the doctor tells my sister that my dad is still very sick but definitely better than yesterday, he’s still at 100% ventilator but is oxygenating better than yesterday. Doctor’s suggestion today is to give my dad more time. Friends, we have incurred a lot of expenses during this time, and it’s still not over. We asked our youngest brother, Jacob Sanchez, to relocate to Laredo, Tx for the sole purpose of being in the same city where our dad is at, and be able to visit him on a daily basis. Would you please include us in your prayers? We desperately need them! If you’d like to help us financially with our many expenses in regards to my dad, we would really appreciate it.

Thank you to all, God bless ❤️
