July 22, 1977 - Midnight
Hal grips the steering wheel tightly. His blood-stained clothes stick uncomfortably to his skin. As he looks in the rearview mirror, he watches his home fade into the distance. The words echo in his mind, "What did you do?" Jack laughs to himself in the backseat.

"Looks like you're fucked now, Hally."

What is UNKINDNESS?
UNKINDNESS is a feature length screenplay about two men with violent tendencies colliding over what's best for a young boy caught between them.

Who are we?
We, Kaylen Boudreau & Bailey Smith, are two aspiring film makers who want nothing more than to bring beautiful, emotionally charged stories to life on the big screen. Our shared passion for acting makes our stories very character driven and complex. We're looking for your help to finance our first feature length film!

Kaylen Boudreau
Having studied film production and professional theatre acting, I have been able to cultivate and grow my lifelong passion for storytelling. I believe that every aspect of filmmaking should be well curated and imbued with creative freedom in order to create the most honest and impactful story possible. I am extremely excited to collaborate with Bailey Smith and Joseph Bottaro in bringing this story to life.

Bailey Smith
My passion for cinema has been a constant in my life since my childhood. During my high school years I made several short films, growing this passion. In college, I acted in a production of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and most recently acted in a short film called "The Piece" directed by Joseph Bottaro. Making this movie is something incredibly meaningful to me and I hope that your belief in us and your generosity can make it a reality.
