Let us save the life of Betsegaw

በፀጋው መንግሥቱ በአ.አ. ከተማ የሚኖር ወጣት ሲሆን በምርመራ የኩላሊት ችግር እንዳለበት እስኪታወቅ ድረስ በሙሉ ጤንነት ይንቀሳቀስ ነበር፡፡ የህክምና ክትትል ሲደረግለት የቆየ ቢሆንም ህመሙ ከፍ እያለ በመሄዱ በጥቁር አንበሳ ሆስፒታል በመተኛት ለረጅም ጊዜ ህክምና ሲደረግለት ቆይቷል፡፡ ሆኖም ግን ከረጅም ህክምና በኋላ ሁለቱም ኩላሊቶቹ መሥራት ስላቆሙ የኩላሊት እጥበት በሳምንት ሦስት ጊዜ ማድረግ እንዳለበት በዶክተሮች ተነግሮት የኩላሊት እጥበት በማድረግ ላይ ይገኛል፡፡

እንደሚታወቀው የኩላሊት እጥበት በኢትዮጵያ በጣም ውድ ነው፡፡ ወላጆቹ ፓስተር መንግሥቱ ግዛው እና ፓስተር ኩሪባቸው ገ/ሚካኤል ወርሃዊ የኩላሊት እጥበት፣ የምርመራ፣ መድሃኒት እና የትራንስፖርት ከፍተኛ ወጪ ለመሸፈን አቅማቸው ወደ ማይችሉበት ደረጃ ላይ ደርሰዋል፡፡

በፀጋው እና ቤተሰቦቹ የእናንተን ጸሎት እና እርዳታ ያስፈልጋቸዋል፡፡ በእንደዚህ አይነት አስቸጋሪ ወቅት የበፀጋውን እና የቤተሰቦቹን ሸክም ትጋሩ ዘንድ በፍቅር እንጠይቃለን፡፡ የምታደርጉት የፍቅር ሥጦታ ትንሽም ይሁን ትልቅ በፀጋው በሀገር ውስጥ ለሚያደርገው ሕክምና (የኩላሊት እጥበት) እና በውጭ ሀገር ለሚያደርገው የኩላሊት ንቅለ ተከላ ($25,000 dollar) ትልቅ አስተዋጽኦ ይኖረዋል፡፡

Pastor Mengistu Gizaw and Pastor Kuribachew have been faithful servants of God for over 50 years. Both have been serving God in the Full Gospel Believers’ Church of Ethiopia. In their ministry, the two pastors committed to planting churches and have sustained severe persecution for their faith.

Their son Betesegaw is 38 years old and single. He is the second son of a family of four children. He was reasonably healthy until recently when he was diagnosed with hypertension, leading to chronic kidney disease. In November 2022, his condition worsened to secondary hypertensive nephrosclerosis (Kidney failure), which requires hemodialysis as the only treatment choice unless he gets a kidney transplant.

As we all know, getting hemodialysis in Ethiopia is expensive. His parents, Pastor Mengistu, and Kuribachew, are primarily responsible for covering the monthly cost of hemodialysis. 48,000 Birr (Forty-Eight Thousand Birr), equivalent to about $1000.00 (One thousand Dollars). The cost of supplemental diet, routine, tests, medications, and transportation to and from the dialysis center continues to rise along with the ever-increasing inflation rate in Ethiopia.
