Let us Rebuild Western Jamaica

My name is Shana - Gay Mitchell a proud Jamaican, that hail from the parish of Manchester with a strong family background in St Elizabeth. I am deeply passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others. Our beloved island of Jamaica is hurting. The recent hurricane tore through the western parishes of the island leaving families with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Homes have been washed away, roads destroyed, and entire communities left in darkness no power, no clean water, and no way to rebuild on their own.
Many mothers are struggling to find food for their children. Elders are sleeping in broken homes, and farmers, the backbone of these parishes have lost their crops and livelihoods overnight. The pain is deep, but so is our love for each other and our faith that better days will come.
We are raising funds to bring hope and help directly to those in need. Every dollar will go toward:
Immediate Survival Needs
• Clean Water: Bottled or gallons are critical as water infrastructure may be compromised.
• Non-perishable Food: Canned goods, dry goods (pasta, rice), and comfort snacks that do not require cooking or refrigeration.
• Hygiene & Sanitation Supplies: Soap, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, moist towelettes, garbage bags, and plastic ties for personal sanitation.
• Medical Supplies: First-aid kits, bandages, antiseptic wipes, and pain relievers,
• Shelter: Tarpaulins, tents, blankets, sleeping bags, and cots are crucial for displaced families to have a roof over their heads.

This isn’t just about rebuilding houses, it’s about rebuilding lives, restoring dignity, and reminding our people that they are not alone.
Your donation, no matter how small, can feed a child, keep a family safe tonight, or help a community stand again tomorrow.
Our goal is to raise $18,000 USD, with every cent going directly to local volunteers and trusted partners in the affected parishes who are already working tirelessly on the ground.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, help if you can, share if you will, and keep Jamaica in your prayers. Together, we can bring light back to the island we love.
One love, one heart let us rebuild together.
