Let Us Love on the Liscano Family

Hi! My name is Regina Dollar Castleberry and with permission from Linda Hyndman Liscano, I have created the Let Us Love on the Liscano Family GoFundMe page asking for your financial support for our friends & family Linda & José, who are both battling Covid 19.

During this hard time, we are asking for everyone's prayers that they recover fully and quickly.

Linda was admitted to the hospital with Covid in late November. She went home days later with three cough medicines and of course, oxygen. When she went to her follow-up doctor's appointment, her oxygen was so low she could not even walk. In the doctor’s office, she was given oxygen and ordered a portable concentrator. (Bad thing is most medical supply stores will not rent nor do they want to let you make payments on portable oxygen concentrators. They want the $2,700 paid all up front.)

José had felt a little sick and had a cough a few days after Linda’s symptoms started, but he kept working and took care of her. He stayed in the hospital day and night with her (everyday), the nurses said they were giving him the husband of the year award.

The last day Linda was in the hospital, José tested positive for Covid. He was admitted to the hospital a few days later with Covid, double pneumonia and heart failure (from the Covid). And of course low oxygen. He will see a heart specialist next week.

The prognosis is that they will survive, but the worse is still ahead and it may take months to fully recover. Since returning home, both are on oxygen until they can rebuild their lung function and breathe on their own. There are, however, still many hurdles before José can even think about returning to work

They both have a long road to recovery. Unfortunately, we cannot cure them, but we can help ease their financial burden. The money collected will be used to help pay medical bills, utility bills and just daily living expenses, which rack up quickly. Any amount is appreciated and will help the Liscano’s.
