As many of you know, our dear friend and colleague, Russ Warner, continues to face ongoing and significant health challenges. In recent weeks, Russ has shared updates about his prognosis in a way that feels so unmistakably Russ—with humility, thoughtfulness, and a deep concern for others even in the midst of his own uncertainty. He continues to lean strongly into his faith and his desire to serve in whatever ways he is able, which is both inspiring and deeply moving in such a heavy moment.

Over the years, Russ has shown up for so many people in countless ways: with encouragement, wisdom, care, and a steady presence. It comes as no surprise that many have reached out asking how they might support him during this season.

One thing Russ has named as he looks toward the future is a hope to travel while his health allows. In response, we are raising funds to help create some financial flexibility for him—whether for travel or for whatever else he chooses that might bring moments of light, joy, rest, or renewal during this time. Russ and his wife have graciously welcomed and approved these fundraising efforts.

This gift is not only practical, but also symbolic. It’s a way for us to say, clearly and collectively, “We’re on it.” It’s an opportunity to remind Russ that he is surrounded by a community that cares deeply for him.
