As some may know, our father, Ronald Blasingame, was diagnosed with throat cancer in April of this year. His doctors advised him to start treatment immediately and soon, six weeks of radiation Monday-Friday plus a few hours of chemo every Thursday commenced. They say most people start to feel the harsh effects by week three - Dad managed to push on and power through until week four, when he had to finally stop working and just focus on getting through everything.

If you know Ron, then you know how charming, friendly and fun he is to be around. You also know he is a proud man that would not usually reach out for this type of support, which is why we come to you humbly on his behalf.

He is now home from his latest hospital stay (it’s been a back and forth with his doctors and nutritionist to get him on a stable and sufficient diet/pain regimen that can be maintained at home) and hopefully will continue to heal from his treatments until we can get the next pet scan in a few months.

In the absence of his normal income, along with the mounting bills from treatment and hospital stays, we are starting this “Let Ron Rest” fund so that our Dad can continue to rest and focus on healing, and to support Nancy in maintaining their home as she continues to be an amazing partner and caretaker.

Financial stress is not something anyone dealing with such a major illness should have to endure, so any contribution you can spare, small or large, is much appreciated.
