Let Our Flowers Grow — A flower and art fund
Donation protected
For 40 years, I've listened to my need to transform neglected public spaces by planting flowers.* Seeing seedlings emerge and flowers bloom gives me hope and energy. I use this energetic life force to create more beautiful things. **
When strangers, butterflies, bees and goldfinches notice and appreciate the flowers, it's just icing on the cake. About 37 years ago, $3,000 fell into my lap and I realized what I wanted to do with it was plant flowers. That money was exhausted decades ago, and it's my hope that this GoFundMe campaign will spark my efforts in an unpredictable and beautiful arc forward. With this GoFundMe efffort, I'm inviting you to support my efforts to beautify all of DC on a grassroots level. I've been frugal and know how to make a dollar go far. With your support we can share even more beauty.

P.S. If you know of a neglected public spot that could use flowers, send a picture and precise address to [email redacted]
* In Washington, DC and all over the world.
**In my humble opinion, I've picked up where Henri Matisse, Alexander Calder and the Netsuke makers left off. Once a week I share my latest creation in a local yoga studio. Recently someone told me they "liked last weeks' piece better than this weeks". I replied, "I can only create a masterpiece every other month."
