This is my sweet dog, Obi, and I’m starting this GoFundMe to help with her upcoming surgery.

Back in April of this year, Obi tore her ACL and had to undergo major surgery. It was a long, tough recovery, but she handled it like a champ and worked so hard to heal. For a while, it truly looked like she was back to her normal, happy self.

Then just two months ago in October , Obi began limping again on the same leg. I returned to her original surgeon, and after an exam and imaging, everything looked healthy. We were hopeful it was just a minor tweak. I followed their instructions closely which was weeks of rest and slowly returning to activity, but the limp never went away. Even after extended rest, there was no improvement.

After more visits and a second opinion, both surgeons agreed that the hardware from her previous ACL surgery needs to be removed. They also believe her meniscus is torn, which they unfortunately can’t know how badly until she’s under anesthesia. Either way, surgery is necessary, and the cost will be $3,400.

While I’m still paying off her original ACL surgery, Obi needs this next step to be comfortable and mobile again. That’s why we’re asking for help.
