Help John with his fight against cancer

Many in the Rotterdam or Schenectady area may know John Bennett from High Bridge Pizza or have been friends with him over the years. At 56, he has been diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer. He is one of the most selfless people I have ever met. He has a heart of gold, and is always willing to help out a person in need.

Today is May 1st. John will be getting his chemo port and g-tube placements done on the 9th. He will be starting radiation next week, and chemo on the 14th. It'll be an intense six weeks leading up to hid surgery, which believe it or not, is worse than the treatment. He's looking at an 8 -10 hour surgery followed by a week in ICU and then a regular bed. After that, he's looking at a minimum 2 week in rehab to learn how to eat.

He has no idea I'm doing this. He's afraid, although he'll never tell a soul. He will be out soon for at least a few months, and I would love for him not to have to worry if he's going to be able to pay rent or meet basic needs. I thank you in advance for anything that anyone can help with.
