Let It Bee Needs Help to Take Down&Honor Its Tree
Tax deductible
So many artists, poets, inventors and gardeners have experienced the deep hospitality offered by Julie Patton, Arcey Harton and Paul Van Curen at Let It Bee's beautiful co-operative building. The building and garden stand as long-time jewels of Cleveland's arts and environmental communities: https://clevelandmagazine.com/in-the-cle/the-read/articles/glenville's-apartment-by-the-park
If you have attended events, meals or exhibitions in the building, you will likely have noted the majestic oak tree that towers over you as you approach the building.
Last month, this gorgeous tree dropped a massive limb, revealing some deep internal wounds. It has sadly become clear that the tree is going to need to come down.
This is not just a painful realization for those that love the tree, but it is also an expensive thing to do safely. Let It Bee is in need of support from its many friends in order to get the tree taken down -- and to do so in a way where it can be lovingly re-integrated into the surrounding land through art-making and earthworks.
Let It Bee is delighted to be partnering with Nature's Beauty Tree Service to transition this tree in a way that honors the deep relationship everyone in the building has with it -- and to steward its body with love, ingenuity and care so that it can continue feeding from and feeding this very special place in Cleveland.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support you can offer. Every donation means a lot to those who have shepherded this remarkable community arts project for these many years.
Please share this campaign with anyone who has joined in the joy of Let It Bee over the years!
