Let's fight Amelia's brain tumour

Amelia is one of the bravest 12-year-old girls you can imagine, full of love for people, animals and the world. Everyone who has met her has loved her and knows what a unique being she is. For almost a year, she has been fighting a rare brain tumor called craniopharyngioma. Amelia underwent a series of surgeries which did not bring a satisfactory result. The tumor was not completely removed and began to grow back quickly, entwining the plexus of the optic nerves, which made her completely blind in her right eye. She was subjected to radiotherapy, after which two large cysts grew in place of the tumor causing persistent headaches and vomiting, she received huge amounts of antibiotics and steroids .... After more than ten months in a hospital isolation room without the possibility of visiting her, many lung infections, sepsis was discharged home. Due to the very large damage to the pituitary gland, hypothalamus and other structures, she struggles with many endocrine problems and more ... signal, which results in her legs not moving and lungs not working properly, so she must be connected to oxygen all the time and at night she uses a special breathing machine. She has diabetes and steroid obesity. She develops bedsores, chafes and severe contractures. The Health care system gives her one hour of rehabilitation, every two weeks and the weeks of rehabilitation and the promised departure for real rehabilitation have been postponed from February, explaining the lack of places. We decided to fight with you for the sake of our daughter, for recovery on our own, because so far we have been disappointed on many levels of the treatment system, which was to help us in this.
