Lester Legarda

Pen Velo mourns the loss of Lester Legarda, who was killed Monday, April 10, after being hit from behind by a motor vehicle on Cañada Road. He was 37. Lester was well-known in the skateboard community and an active member of the Pen Velo bicycling club. He was an enthusiastic rider and will be sorely missed.

We are Lester's friends at Peninsula Velo and we are setting up this memorial fund to help his family. Thank you for any contribution in remembrance of Lester's untimely passing.

PenVelo will be hosting a memorial ride Saturday April 15 starting at Woodside Town Hall (2955 Woodside Rd, Woodside, CA 94062), leaving at 9am. We will be riding along Cañada road to the site of the collision, where there is now a makeshift memorial and ghost bike to honor his life. All on bikes who wish to honor Lester's untimely passing are welcome to join.
