Bear is a sweet, gentle dog who has already suffered more than any animal ever should. He was neglected, starved, possibly abused, and then heartlessly dumped on the street. Now he has ended up at a kill shelter with less than 24 hours to live.

As if that isn’t devastating enough, Bear has been diagnosed with leptospirosis - a deadly but treatable disease. Without immediate medical intervention, he will not survive. He must be transported to an emergency hospital right away, and his treatment is expected to cost thousands of dollars.
