Leslie’s nursing career was abruptly cut short  March 31 2023. Where she was physically assaulted with domestic violence by her husband. When her husband  slammed her head against the wall and is now partially paralyzed. Needing spinal cord surgery on her vertebrae to release pressure.Spending 3 weeks in ICU. She is a loving mother of 3 children and was set to graduate nursing school .Leslie was so excited as she was accepted into her top choice of Cardiac preceptorship next month and was so proud of herself. Now she has to work hard to  relearn how to walk and have use of her extremities again. All while trying to complete nursing school . It has always been her dream to help those in the underserved communities. Even a dollar can help Leslie and her children find safety. Once she is discharged from the hospital,she can continue the road to recovery and healing,without having to look over their shoulders. Domestic violence is never ok.
