Leslie Richardson was a treasure. Our songstress died too early due to complications from COVID-19.
Leslie sang to audiences around the world. She made people smile, laugh, and sometimes cry at the beauty of her voice.
In her honor, amd with the help of the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia, we have created the Leslie Richardson Memorial Swan and Sparrow Scholarship Fund to help a high school senior who wants to attend an HBCU to major in music. The scholarship of $5,000 will be awarded to a student annually.
