Leslie Has Terminal Cancer. Please Help.

I am writing this to inform family and friends of some very sad news. My beautiful daughter, Leslie, has been diagnosed with carcinoma in the lungs with an undetermined source. Tonight we found out that Leslie has only a couple more days on this earth. The oncologist said in his 30-year career he has never seen a more aggressive cancer. Even when she went in for her first scan, she was already at Stage 4. That was only a month ago. And since then, her cancer has doubled in size.
It is so hard to see any child — let alone your own — struggling to breathe, on oxygen, in such physical pain, and totally defenseless. I would gladly have traded places with her if I could. But all I can do is watch my sweet baby girl slowly dying.
As I sit here in her hospital room, watching a machine take her last breaths for her, I !am reminded of her voice. A voice I will never ever hear again. No more, “Hellooo parental units,” or “Hi Mama!”
She has a loud voice and laugh. I used to call her “microphone voice.” You always knew she was in the room. But more than that, she loved to sing. She has the most beautiful singing voice. The voice of an angel.
She has always been a shining light in our family. Always giving, happy and full of life, love and laughter. But the most beautiful part of her was her singing. It is so ironic that she now has lung cancer.
Her battle will soon be over.
