Leslie Bradshaw-Dingwell medical expenses

My cousin Leslie has been unable to work for many months as she undergoes treatment for lymphomic leukemia. I am starting a fundraiser to try and repay her a little for all she has done for me and many others! (That's the short version; long version ahead.)

I didn't know Leslie very well until fairly recently, but she was close to my sister Nancy (Nowlin). What I did know is she's my cousin on my dad's side (Opie Nowlin) and is very active in the Columbia/Boone County community, from running in demo derbies and mud runs to organizing or assisting in various fundraisers and benefits for friends, family, and others. She has helped many people going through hardship and struggle!

She was there for me personally, and my family, when we lost Nancy in 2016. Leslie showed up every day to help get things done, from planning and decorating to making mementos for the kids to cleaning up, and she asked nothing in return. She showed up for us and for Nancy.

In the years since, I've gotten to know Leslie better, and I fell on hard times myself. I injured myself at work, while self employed and with no option to stay home, and we were left with less than half our staff when the pandemic arrived in 2019. Leslie showed up again and again and helped me out. Without her, I couldn't have kept my business alive through 2020. She really went above and beyond.

While I wish I could return all the favors, my injuries still prevent me from actually DOING much. But what I can do is tell people about her. I can write a few words here and ask Leslie's other friends and family (and anyone else reading this) to help lend a hand in easing the burden some for her (and Brad and family) this holiday season.

While Leslie shows up when needed, she isn't one to ask for help! So please donate if you can, and share around if you can't, and let's show up for Como's Derby Queen.
