Recently Les was diagnosed with a type of blood cancer called Myelodysplastic Syndrome or MDS. Its where the blood cells do not mature, resulting in anemia. Les is receiving treatments that require him to get multiple shots for seven days in a row. Then they monitor his blood levels. The very best course of action is for Les to get a bone marrow transplant to put this into remission and get back to work. It could take time to get on the list and find a donor.
