LES Express Program Fundraiser
To whom it may concern,
The LES Express invites you to become a sponsor/donor for our annual LES Express Summer Basketball Program to help benefit the overwhelming population of inspiring athletes throughout the city and surrounding boroughs.
The LES Express Summer Basketball Program is a non for profit community event that is looking for local help like yourself to help sponsor our games. The LES Express Organization does not receive any government funding, and is looking to stay local within the community.
This exciting event will be held from the middle of June through the middle of August, at the Sarah D Roosevelt Park on East Houston St between Christie St and Forysth St. With a foot-traffic of thousands daily, this location in the heart of Soho will benefit not only the organization, but you as a sponsor/donor as well. With the overwhelming population of inspiring athletes throughout the city and surrounding boroughs, it is a way for us to keep the community together and aware of its businesses.
Basketball is not only a team sport, but an understanding of life. When children walk by and see a group of guys playing basketball, joking around, and having a good time, they smile and positive thoughts race through their minds. Trust, friendship, and loyalty are the three key terms in basketball and the three key terms that we want the youth of today to grasp.
As you may, or may not, be aware, the LES Express has provided seasonal men’s:High school/middle school leagues tournaments and clinics for the past 10 years, as well as multiple charity, community, and holiday events. Most importantly, we are known for our free Saturday Skills-on-Drills basketball clinic for kids and our summer youth programs to help benefit the bright young talents of today. Our CEO (Brian Gardenhire) also holds multiple, daily groups:one-on-one training sessions to give young athletes the extra help and training they need to better, not only their game, but their futures as well.
Our program will also feature music and fashion showcases that will go on throughout the summer. These showcases will allow up and coming artist, fashion clothing lines, and models to gain exposure from a half a million people a week. Bringing together the Lower East Side community will create atmosphere that will generate electricity around the Lower East Side/Soho area. LES Express (Learn Educate Succeed) Basketball will bring exposure to athletes/artist/creators to hundreds/thousands of people throughout the week and for a 2 month time period. LES Express also has strong ties to the community in the Lower East Side, Housing Projects NYCHA, and Low income families. This will also allow you access to reach out to them and expose your company.
Throughout the Lower East Side of Manhattan we have been home to hundreds of all ages from all locations ranging from all 5 boroughs up into Westchester County, parts of New Jersey, and more. The funds provided by this event will be put towards equipment to help make this event above and beyond expectations, which, in return, will help us to better provide for our youth programs throughout the year.
In any way if you can contribute $10, $20, $50, $100, $1000 will help towards our cause to give the youth an opportunity to do something productive throughout the summer consistently. Any help we can have will be truly appreciated and also can be used as a tax write off for you or your company.
Your sponsorship will help assure the success of the LES Express Summer Basketball Program.
