Les “Stumpy” Denisar of Newburgh, NY passed away on July 10th, 2022. Les was an athlete, his love for sports began in little league, continued through high school and college as a football player and wrestler. Les never stopped competing as an adult, slow pitch softball, golf and bowling. His desire to support youth athletics grew when he saw his own passion for sports and competition in his own children and grandchildren.

Les’ love for sports evolved over the past ten years while mentoring student athletes at Osiris Country Club. He admired not only their athletic skills , but their work ethic and desire to learn and grow as young adults. His family has set up an annual fund to provide scholarships to student athletes to help fund their college education. We will provide an annual scholarship to a local student athlete that embodied Les’ values, character and fierce competitive nature. All proceeds will go directly to the fund.
