It is with deep regret that I am informing you that Les Cook has passed away recently. 

Like so many during this time, we are devastated. It is moments like these that we need to pick each other up and help get one through this most difficult time. The family is shocked and saddened by this loss and unfortunately not financially prepared as this was so unexpected.  As you may have known the family just recently buried Ron, Les's brother, due to his fight with cancer.  

Unfortunately, Les's family is sparse as are funds for a proper, yet sensible funeral service.  To handle this situation, I have taken it upon myself on behalf of Violet his mother to start this fundraiser to raise as much money as possible in the next few days to be able to give Les that appropriate funeral.

I apologize that I cannot speak more directly on Les's behalf on the nature of the relationship you had with him. I pray that you will remember Les as fondly as he likely remembered you.

We would appreciate anything you can give - no donation is too small even just a share.

Les was a good friend and would always be the first to help out any friend in need. I know that in similar times of need Les would be there for all of us.

Since this was so unexpected, there’s no life insurance or money set aside.  Any money raised will be used for the funeral expenses and memorial services.  If there’s anything left over It will be used for any other expenses for the family that arise from the untimely passing of Les.
