Lepa Family Fundraiser
Donation protected
On the evening of Saturday, August 29 2020, the Lepa family (Jeff, Deanna, Spencer, and Parker) were traveling home to Loxley, AL from a family get-together. At 9:00pm, their vehicle was struck by a wrong-way driver on the interstate. While Jeff and the boys only received minor injuries, Deanna was trapped in the car for over an hour as the dash had collapsed into her legs. She was flown to Sacred Heart hospital in Pensacola, FL. She spent a week at Sacred Heart and had two major surgeries to repair the compound fracture of her right femur, face laceration, right hip fracture, and multiple fractures of her pelvis.
Deanna is currently at the West Florida Rehab Center where she will spend 2-3 weeks in physical and occupational therapy before she will be able to be at home. Beyond rehab, she is looking at 2-3 months before she can put weight on her right leg again.
Donations to the family would be used for the ongoing medical support and equipment that Deanna will need throughout her healing process. It would also help support the family as Deanna most likely will not be able to return to work until next year. Anything you are willing to donate will be graciously accepted. If you would rather donate to Deanna’s Venmo, as Gofundme does take a small portion, you can send it to @Deanna-Lepa. We fully understand the current economic climate has affected many, so if you not in a position to donate, all we ask is that you repost or forward this on.
